Serena Kae awoke in a hospital room much like every other. A little nicer perhaps, but still obviously institutional. The windows were blocked by heavy drapes, but a slender bar of light managed to peek through, falling on the form of a young girl snoozing in a chair. Her eyes met his and while she prodded his mind gently for something to make sense of their bond, his left hand broke free from her grasp and he ran his fingertips over her cheek lightly as his right hand ran up her arm and paused over the armband he could feel even though it was not visible.  "You still wear it,” he said quietly, as Vashti tensed slightly only breaking the trance when a dark shadow of barely controlled rage pummeled them from the direction of the door. She stepped back quickly then, out of his reach and turned toward the door, trying to give Atton a reassuring smile. He crossed the room menacingly, willing a wall between the pair.

The Star Forge... Malak... Love... Can all these things be connected in the same story? Can things still be good?

The emptiness that emanated from her now was chilling and he settled into a defensive posture with his pike as much out of fear as of an unexplainable desire to meet her sudden need for physical expression of whatever this was that had settled on her.

"Something important is gonna happen here. I just know it!"

Revan, Bastila, and Carth witness the strength of the True Sith Navy, while Jaden and Canderous battle not just for the survivors of the colony but ultimately for their own lives. How will the first battle of the True Sith War play out?

She stared into her glass of Corellian brandy watching the dark red liquid swirl and churn as she absentmindedly rotated the glass in her hand. She didn’t see the bartender glance at her with annoyance or her fellow patrons who jostled her and anyone else sitting at the bar. There would have been a time in her life when every detail would have been noticed, every psyche registered and every emotion catalogued. But now she saw nothing, heard nothing, felt nothing. Her own jumbled emotions had been shoved down, deep into the recesses of her mind, where she willed them to never see the light of day again.

“To say that Revan’s little undercover operation is dangerous would be a pretty severe understatement, Padawan.”

Visas nodded as she walked next to Master Jolee Bindo. The side of her face under her veil was growing hot and itchy in the sunlight through the western windows of the Jedi Temple. While the Council had said as much when she had informed them of Celyn Onasi’s second vision, they had not reached any conclusion. And while they had also said they needed more time to formulate a position on what Visas had told them, Master Bindo had other ideas.

Revan looked at her. She had not answered, but he could feel words form in her head although she was trying to shield them from him.

I heard Canderous snort from behind me. “I guess you have this under control,” he stated as he left the room, but not before flashing Mission a knowing grin. “Good luck, kid.”

“If you lose everything as well as your emotional attachment to those things, was it ever really lost?”

He raised an eyebrow at her, seemingly amused at the obvious once over she had given him. “Are you sure you’re a Jedi?” He asked her with a smirk.

Her gaze narrowed again for a moment, but realizing he was the only way out of this damned cage, she let her features soften again and shrugged. “That’s an awfully philosophical question for a Mandalorian,” she sassed.

"And just why are you telling me this?" he asked, looking suspiciously at the ghost. "After all the trouble you've gone through to make sure the Republic was crippled; ensuring that others did your dirty work for you; making sure that others like Mandalore the Ultimate, Ellis Yoly, Malak, and I all took care of clearing the way for you. You infected the Senate with your magic and words of power, leaving it in shambles. After all of that, why would you want to destroy what you have worked for?"

"As I said, Lord Revan..."

"Just Revan, thanks."

"As I said," the apparition amended. "I had a vision..."

Viza didn’t move from her bed. Perhaps she realized she didn’t have the strength to stand just yet. “I guess I owe you my life,” she said quietly. “Thanks.”

Nirubu yawned.
