For the Republic: Part 21

Serena Kae awoke in a hospital room much like every other. A little nicer perhaps, but still obviously institutional. The windows were blocked by heavy drapes, but a slender bar of light managed to peek through, falling on the form of a young girl snoozing in a chair. Her body was folded in on itself, and there was no way she could be comfortable.

Escaping the Past - Chapter 3

He gazed into her eyes, entranced by her stunning glow. Her eyes met his and while she prodded his mind gently for something to make sense of their bond, his left hand broke free from her grasp and he ran his fingertips over her cheek lightly as his right hand ran up her arm and paused over the armband he could feel even though it was not visible.  "You still wear it,” he said quietly, as Vashti tensed slightly only breaking the trance when a dark shadow of barely controlled rage pummeled them from the direction of the door. She stepped back quickly then, out of his reach and turned toward the door, trying to give Atton a reassuring smile. He crossed the room menacingly, willing a wall between the pair.

An Exile: Chpter One

It had been a few months since Kreia’s death on MalachorV when I finally left for the Unknown Regions.

Escaping the Past - Chapter 2

He reached out and touched her shoulder and she shied away from his sympathy once again. Shaking her head she leaned the double bladed sword against the ship and picked up the vibroblades she had laid there. She gripped their hilts tightly, trying to fight off the emotions that had suddenly welled up inside her. Her eyes dark, she turned back to him and flourished her swords. The emptiness that emanated from her now was chilling and he settled into a defensive posture with his pike as much out of fear as of an unexplainable desire to meet her sudden need for physical expression of whatever this was that had settled on her.

Stolen - part 14

Five years after the destruction of the Star Forge, and Revan has been hiding with Carth and their daughter from Sith remnants. Post-KotOR AU.

Escaping the Past - Chapter 1

She stared into her glass of Corellian brandy watching the dark red liquid swirl and churn as she absentmindedly rotated the glass in her hand. She didn’t see the bartender glance at her with annoyance or her fellow patrons who jostled her and anyone else sitting at the bar. There would have been a time in her life when every detail would have been noticed, every psyche registered and every emotion catalogued. But now she saw nothing, heard nothing, felt nothing. Her own jumbled emotions had been shoved down, deep into the recesses of her mind, where she willed them to never see the light of day again.

Lost and Found Chapters 15-19

“To say that Revan’s little undercover operation is dangerous would be a pretty severe understatement, Padawan.”

Visas nodded as she walked next to Master Jolee Bindo. The side of her face under her veil was growing hot and itchy in the sunlight through the western windows of the Jedi Temple. While the Council had said as much when she had informed them of Celyn Onasi’s second vision, they had not reached any conclusion. And while they had also said they needed more time to formulate a position on what Visas had told them, Master Bindo had other ideas.

Primal

“Ok,” she said, meeting his cool grey eyes, “Canderous…why…why did you follow me on Malachor? Why did you risk your life for me? I’ve been racking my brain for days and I can’t figure it out…”

“Well, first of all Onasi asked me to,” he said gruffly.

She nodded slowly. It made so much more sense; Onasi had become her friend in near record time before Malachor. He was a good man and considering his careful placement of Mical, the idea that he would have asked Canderous to help wasn’t such a leap.

“I told him to sit on a power coupling,” he continued.

“What?!” she asked, utterly confused.

Chapter 17 - Awakenings

In dreams, the line between what is perceived and what is reality are blurred. We never mean to, but in dreams we come to know ourselves so well, everyone else can only be strangers. Then we wake, and the knowledge is gone. The dream is forgotten, and we can only strive to remember what we saw, what we heard, and what was remembered while dreaming. If we could sleep forever, we would. Just slip into that cradle sublime and let it rock us like a helpless child, content to just be until the dream turns to nightmarish reality.

Chapter 16 - A Day in the Life of Chancellor Dryad

In the semi-darkness he could see the spires clearly, jutting into the Coruscant skyline like a collection of deadly blades. The shadows they cast on the ground below seemed to hide it from view, and Chancellor Dryad found himself wondering if that was the intent of the architects who had originally designed it. He could just make out the figures of the Republic patrol as they walked the perimeter, keeping out the unwelcome. An odd sensation traveled up his spine as he watched them, and with it the distinct feeling that he had made a terrible mistake.

Abomination - Part Three: The Stowaway

Sequel to Beautiful Darkness. Part Three.

I heard Canderous snort from behind me. “I guess you have this under control,” he stated as he left the room, but not before flashing Mission a knowing grin. “Good luck, kid.”

The Huntress

He raised an eyebrow at her, seemingly amused at the obvious once over she had given him. “Are you sure you’re a Jedi?” He asked her with a smirk.

Her gaze narrowed again for a moment, but realizing he was the only way out of this damned cage, she let her features soften again and shrugged. “That’s an awfully philosophical question for a Mandalorian,” she sassed.

Diaspora - Chapter 4: Cursed

Major Thixs had been forced to trudge the last half kilometer through blinding rain and filthy sludge to regiment command. The landspeeder that'd taken him most of the way was currently shoved to one side of the road next to a junction, where it had been rendered immobile courtesy of an out-of-control supply vehicle.

Strong Bonds: Chapter 6

Too late she saw the lightsaber in his left hand, a lightsaber she had crafted for him. The snap-hiss of the blade echoed in her ears, and the heat from the viridian beam made the skin on her neck blister painfully. He held it mere centimeters from her skin.
