Good Exile, Bad Exile
Sorry, my coloring skillz are still pretty low. Have to put more skill points into it.

I don't actually like this version of the Exile (please don’t shoot me) and I normally draw a much different version, but I’m working on using photo reference to learn how to draw different kinds of faces, so this was good practice. I originally wanted to make her very ugly dark side, but found that my coloring skills were just not up to par. Le sigh.
DISCLAIMER: I'm very laissez-faire about my art, especially fanart, because none of us own the copyright. So if fellow fans would like to take any of the pieces I've done and go color or manip them, please feel free to do so. You don't even need my permission. I'd love to see the results, however.

As I say to myself...
'...the first step towards acquiring talent is realizing that you suck.' But I say that mostly to myself. I don't think this sucked as much as you seem to think. In fact, I rather liked it.
It's really easy to get discouraged, especially by yourself. Don't be.

Whoa, hold on there! That's just a proverb that I--never mind. Sorry, I didn't mean to say, even by implication, that this sucked. I meant to say that you seem to think it sucked, and that I do not.

Ohh, a comparison!
Now this is a very fine drawing, make no mistake. This is much better coloring than the stuff I have. Very good lining too.
I really only have two things that I can point out for improvment. The basic lines of the face itself look a bit childlike, now I know that it may be the perspective, but still. And on the dark side version, the eyes; personally I would not have gone with being able to see all of the veins, its a bit too zombielike.
But still, this is a good piece of artwork and don't be too hard on yourself.
