Lord Zeuss's Forest Of Lies

This poster caused me no shortage of frustration. An artist is never completly satisfied with his work, but there is a fine line between not quite satisfied and not happy with it, and at least one part of this, I'm afraid, falls into the latter category. I had to redo Kono twice and I still didn't get that 'okay' vibe from it. Bastila went off more or less fine, no major problems there. Suffice to say, this is one of my low points in the progression of my art.

Lord Zeuss speaks: Originally, this was intended to be the announcement for my sequel to A Den Of Hate, entitled Forest Of Lies, but since the queue was taking uncharacteristically long (we're talking 7+ days, here) I had to announce it in the comments section for A Den Of Hate part 6. Parts 1 and 2 are currently sitting in the queue and part 1 is up on FF.net.

But on to the poster. This turned out very close to what I had originally envisioned. I wasn't quite as satisfied with Kono on this as I was with him on the ADOH poster; but he simply spot-on on that one, and I can't always ask for artists to top themselves each successive time. Bastila, having not been featured on the ADOH poster, was able to make a fresh impression and I was pleased with the way she turned out.

The weird thing in the center was entirely my idea and I did most of the work on it as well. But I have to say, there was something about the whole thing that I felt kept it from panning out the way I intended. It's the Czerka symbol being torn apart, by the way.

Misgivings aside, however, I felt that the moon in the corner was a knockout punch. I just thought it was so cool that it kind of balanced out the stuff with room for improvement.

All in all, I am unable to be anything but grateful to Triple E for taking his valuable time to do some art for me.
