Final Duel
Request by KFMer Forgotten Honor.
I've owed this to him for a wee while now, finally manage to finish it. This is from his fanfic 'Love and Redemption: Hero's Return'. He had very specific description about the True Sith Sith'ari, it took us a few msg back and forth to come up the satisfactory result.
Revan looked terribly small...I know. Must be the hair.

not bad tank! i really love
not bad tank! i really love the way you used your shading!
though sith'ari's hands seem a little small
but very nice work!
Thanks
The entire Sith'ari's composition, to be honest, wasn't entirely satisfactory. Funny that when they were just linedraft stage, they looked perfectly normal.
Anyway, thank you very much for commenting on this.

Again taking up the mantle of an art critic.
You are good with a pencil TG, as evidenced by the fine art piece that got tied in fourth place with a certain someone... The cape effect you did here is superb, very acurate. And also the forehead of the Sith' Ari and the head tail thingys give it a creepy look.
But most of the rest of his face seems a bit out-of-style for the scene you are depicting here. The way you drew the seemingly exagerated nose and the square chin give it a rather "Cartoony" look to it. Also, I agree with TofuBomb, either his hands are a bit too small or his head is a bit too big. Just one more thing, the joints on his fingers seem a bit... pronounced. Oh yeah, why doesn't he have a lightsabre?
("Aw crud, I lost it again, now where did I see it last...")
And now on to Revan...
Quite frankly, I had to check to make sure of Revan's gender. The chin and jaw look feminine, as do the hands. I see no "problems" so to speak with Revan, it is just difficult for me to see this as a male Revan
I just one more personal problem, not an offical problem. Revan's hood seems a bit too... pointy for my liking. But thats just me being picky.
All in all, pretty well drawn!

All critics are welcome
I truely appreciate that you are taking some time to look at my drawings and write down some comments.
I started learning how to draw people with females in manga style. It might explain a bit how my males still look a bit like females and some certain characters are 'cartoony'. As for Sith'ari's hand, it was meant to be out of shape. What do they say: "Force does strange things on people..." Haha...
As for lightsabre...actually, he wasn't meant to have one. Palpatine didn't have one as far as I can recalled. All he did was using Force Lightning to zap, zap, and zap.

I LOVE IT!!!
This is great! Personally, I have no qualms with making the Sith'ari too tall, it adds to the idea that Revan's fighting this enormously powerful Sith Lord that seems invincible. (In fact, I'm playing with the idea that he's more dangerous than Darth Bane! *see "New Sith Wars" for details*) Overall, it's fantastic, and I'm so glad to see that it's getting its proper praise. You deserve it.

Excellent!
I like the shading on this. And, I also like how you drew Sith'ari. Nicely done! :-)
I like it.
I saw no real glaring problems with Revan's size or general composition, and having recently re-read the old Tales of the Jedi comics I can tell you that the Sith'ari here definitely gives off the right vibe.
The only problem that jumped out to my untrained eye was Revan's lightsaber. It seems a bit too thin, smooth, and generally small to be a lightsaber. Admittedly a small point of contention when the characters are the focus, but that's what caught my attention.
Good work, and as always, keep at it!
