We have a problem

Got this idea during brainstorming on msn with other KFMer. Since I had never done much of all of those characters/creatures in the picture (first time on Canderous and Hssiss), I thought it is quite a challenge itself for me to try out.
What would happened if the companion entered the tomb while waiting for the Exile to complete the test? What would they encountered? Can they passed the test and proven themselves worthy?
I know in theory this would not be happening at all ( to my knowledge only the one strong with the Force could entered), at least to Canderous, but it would be a interesting scene to see if it was actually happening.
This is where the 'Glitch' was, you know, the room where a dead Jedi lied. And if you loop the body, Hssiss would appear and attack you.
Mical was checking the dead Jedi. No, he knew he was long gone, he was just inspecting the body to see if he could sense anything unusual or found some clue about what happened inside the tomb. He was the one who noticed the sudden changes in the surroundings and alarmed Canderous.
Canderous had his helmet off. Yes, I am aware it is a bit unusual. But I felt it was not right if I drew him with the helmet on. I didn't put his beard on. It was a personal preference.

Cool! I love the effects of your pencil shading... makes some of the images look very ghost-like. It's great for a pic like this with such a mysterious atmosphere. I always loved the tombs on Korriban; it left a lot of room for exploration. There was nothing better than leveling up nearly 3 levels after defeating the big ass monster in the caves! I love the pic. Keep up the good work!

Ah, very cool idea! I like these two together. In the right situation, they make a great pair in the game. And the Hssiss look excellent! Well shaded, excellent drawing. :D

I really like the Hssiss...
... they look really, really cool and they're definitely not something that I'd want to be trapped between. The other thing I really like is the detail you put into drawing Mandalore's armor. However next to the detail that you put into the armor and the hssiss, the drawing of his face (even from almost the back) seems almost incomplete and not finished - if that makes any sense. It seems to have a lack of detail that's in the rest of the pic.
Mical's hair doen't bother me, and it kind of makes sense actually. The way he slicks it back in the game makes it look like it might be kinda longish if left loose, and I suspect after fighting their way though the temple, it would be coming loose. Mandalore's hair on the other hand doesn't quite work. I can tell that you're going for the buzz cut that his helmetless model had, but I looks kinda off (I wish I could tell you why - but I have no idea).
Anyway I liked that you're trying to capture action and setting here, beyond what we normally see from you.

This one is definitely outside of my comfort zone, but the idea was so tempting, I didn't really want to give up. That's why I checked with you to start with.

I really like the shading and you stayed within the parameters of the challenge--the hssiss--OK mispelled!--are really great. They look like they're smiling which I noticed in the game. You have my vote!

When I shared those Hssiss screens with you, I had no idea you'd pick Canderous for your other character. I figured you'd pick Mical, but I also thought you'd pick Atton since, well, they don't "mesh" so well. This is really good work; I always love your pencil work! :D

THE HSSISS!!! YOU DRAW THE HSSISS SO WELL!!! THEY'RE SO HARD TO DRAW!!! Yay for you! :) :) :) I love the pencil effects you use to depict their "stealth" fields, btw. I also commend you on the effort you put into Canderous's armor, and Mical's facial expression.
That's an interesting idea about what would've happened, had the Exile's companions gone into the Tomb. What visions would they have experienced? :/ Hmmmm. You know, that would make a great subject for another sketch. Or a fic. ;)

They are damn hard to draw. I had to search through tones of good reference pictures and youtube videos to get a decent sketch.
But it is so worth it. Watching your idea taking shape. It is the best feeling in the world.

Once again in awe of your talent. I mean, you even thought to put scales on the feet of the Hssiss'sssssss . . . and the slight smile on the beast that says "Hey! Lunch!" That's my take anyway. I'm not sure the look on Mical is one of fear but more of a growling lip snarl right before saying crap or something. Canderous on the other hand appears to have no mouth, but that's okay, his armor is terrific.
